Feeling is believing when it comes to our fabrics. We know that’s probably hard to accept from the other side of a screen but let us try to convince you.
When it comes to our products, we don’t just pick some ‘off the shelf’ fabrics, that hit the latest trend and hope they’ll make some lovely nightwear. Developing fabrics is a considered process and we like to think of it as an art. You could compare it to creating fine wines. It’s something that takes time, patience and is continuously refined until you achieve perfection. We work ‘hand-in-hand’ with our trusted fabric partners to ensure our fabrics are not only inherently soft and comfortable but they combine these features with the ability to be washed, time and time again and retain their beautiful shape and colour.
Much is made of cotton in the nightwear industry and we’ve got nothing against 100% cotton fabrics. We feel strongly though that blending cotton with modal creates fabrics that are naturally super-soft, have a beautiful depth of colour, feel cool and comfortable next to the skin and won’t suffer with repeated washing and drying. What’s also appealing about modal-based fabrics, is their impact on the world around us. Modal is made from sustainable wood-pulp, meaning it is compostable and biodegradable. The processes used to produce modal have been designed to minimise the use of chemicals and given their durable nature, modal fabrics tend to last longer than many of their rivals.

Gorgeous nightwear is not just about the fabric and fit. How we finish our garments, the trims we select and how they work with the overall style and fit, is ingrained in our thinking. The little touches we add, like piping at the hems, natural shell buttons and pocket detailing complete the look. We don’t, however, just choose our trims based on aesthetics. They have to pass our rigorous testing, both on their own and on the final garment, to make sure they stand up to a lifetime of washing and wearing.
